Delicious Melt-in-Your-Mouth Biscuits with Just 1 Apple and 1 Egg!

Ingredients

Dough:

  • 2 cups 00 flour
  • 3 ½ tablespoons melted butter
  • 2 tablespoons stevia sweetener (or ¼ cup granulated sugar)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • Icing sugar, as needed

For Seasoning the Apple:

  • 2 tablespoons stevia sweetener (or granulated sugar)
  • 1 teaspoon butter
  • 1 apple
  • A pinch of cinnamon

Preparation

  1. Prepare the Apple Filling:
    • Peel the apple, remove the core, and cut it into small pieces.
    • Place the apple pieces in a non-stick pan, add the stevia sweetener (or sugar), cinnamon, and butter.
    • Let the mixture caramelize over medium heat and then cool.
  2. Make the Dough:
    • Break the egg into a bowl, add the salt, vanilla sugar, and stevia sweetener (or sugar). Mix well with a hand whisk.
    • Add the milk and melted butter, and mix again.
    • Gradually add the baking powder and flour, mixing with a spatula until you have a soft but fairly solid mixture.
    • Knead the dough with your hands, adding any remaining flour until the dough is smooth.
    • Place the dough on a lightly floured work surface.
  3. Shape the Biscuits:
    • Roll out the dough with a rolling pin.
    • Use a round cutter to cut out biscuits from the dough.
    • Fill each biscuit with a spoonful of the caramelized apple mixture.
    • Fold the biscuits in half and press the edges to seal them.
    • Transfer the filled biscuits to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. Bake:
    • Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
    • Bake the biscuits for 15-20 minutes, or until they are golden brown.
    • Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly.
  5. Finish and Serve:
    • Dust the biscuits with icing sugar before serving.
